UNIVERSIDAD EVANGÉLICA DE EL SALVADOR

In an atmosphere of enthusiasm and professionalism, the Evangelical University of El Salvador (UEES) was the setting for the first Moodle Moot in El Salvador 2024. This academic and professional meeting brought together more than 200 participants, who contributed a valuable diversity of perspectives and experiences.

The event was attended by representatives of private companies, developers, governmental entities such as the Superior Council of Public Health and the National Council of Integral Attention to Persons with Disabilities, as well as associations such as the Association of Human Resources Administrators of El Salvador (AARHES), independent developers, UEES professors and visitors in general.

The event was attended by national and international speakers and workshop participants, who shared their knowledge on the use of Moodle and digital education. Keynote speakers included: Dr. Miguel Morales (Guatemala), Director of Digital Education; Alvaro Navarro (Guatemala), Director of Corporate Learning; and Victor Deniz (Spain), Senior Moodle Developer. These experts offered lectures that provided a global and enriching perspective, covering the latest trends and best practices in digital education.

Simultaneously, in the Tecnolab I and II laboratories, practical workshops were held to provide participants with direct experience with digital tools and the Moodle platform. These workshops were designed to strengthen the digital competencies of the attendees, providing experiential learning that is essential in today’s educational context.

The realization of the Moodle Moot El Salvador 2024 at UEES has been highly valued by organizers, speakers and participants. This event has not only consolidated the university’s position as an institution committed to innovation in educational technologies, but has also facilitated valuable connections with international experts and organizations through networking.

The first Moodle Moot in El Salvador 2024 was a success, leaving a significant mark on the educational and technological community of the country, and setting a precedent for future editions of this important academic and professional meeting, thus consolidating UEES as a role model where innovation and learning spaces are encouraged.
