AULA ESPEJO STRENGTHENS TRAINING IN ORAL SURGERY THROUGH INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC EXCHANGES

Dentistry students from the Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador participated in an international learning experience with specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
The Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador (UEES), through its School of Dentistry, continues to promote academic internationalization through learning experiences that strengthen the professional training of its students.
As part of these initiatives, students of the IX cycle enrolled in the Chair of Oral Surgery, taught by Dr. Alejandro Miliani, participated in a session of Aula Espejo with Dr. Luis Ángel Victorio Morales, maxillofacial surgeon and head of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service of the María Auxiliadora Hospital of the Ministry of Health of Peru, who gave a lecture on “Physiology of inflammation and pain and their management in dentistry”.
The activity was carried out in collaboration with the Universidad Privada San Juan Bautista (UPSJB) of Peru and allowed students to deepen their knowledge of fundamental topics for dental practice, including the classification of pain, the recognition of pain symptoms and their importance in establishing accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatments.
At the end of the conference, a space for interaction was developed in which students shared questions and reflections with the invited specialist, strengthening collaborative learning and knowledge exchange.
The Mirror Classroom is an educational strategy that connects teachers and students from different institutions in the same virtual environment, promoting international academic exchange, real-time learning and collaboration among university communities.
Through these experiences, the Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador reaffirms its commitment to educational innovation, academic excellence and the formation of professionals with a global vision.
The School of Dentistry thanks the San Juan Bautista Private University for their willingness to develop this type of initiatives, which contribute to the strengthening of international academic cooperation and the professional growth of future dentists.
