II AUPRIDES INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS – OPENING CEREMONY
On Thursday, February 29, the 2nd International Congress of the Association of Private Universities of El Salvador was inaugurated, which was chaired by Dr. Christian Aparicio, National Director of Higher Education; Dra. Cristina de Amaya, Rector UEES and President of AUPRIDES; Eng. Nelson Zárate, UTEC Rector and Vice President of the Association; and Mtro. Salvador Alvarenga, UGB Rector and AUPRIDES Secretary. The audience was made up of Rectors, academic and administrative officials, teaching staff of the 13 HEIs that make up AUPRIDES, representatives of ANEP, CASATIC, foreign and national speakers, and special guests such as Dr. Ana Figueroa, Member of the Legislative Assembly.
In the opening and allusive words, the Authorities highlighted the importance of placing on the agenda the issue of artificial intelligence and its impact on education, and discuss from different paradigms, in favor of the need for digital transformation and reengineering of HEIs in the country and the region, to ensure a relevant academic offer.
