The Evangelical University of El Salvador (UEES) was recognized as one of the most outstanding institutions of higher education in the country during the III Edition of the Awards for Excellence in Higher Education 2026, organized by the National Directorate of Higher Education (DNES) of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MINEDUCYT).

This important event recognizes the best practices, projects and initiatives developed by Higher Education Institutions in El Salvador, promoting educational quality, innovation and continuous improvement for the benefit of professional training and the development of the country.

In this edition, UEES received six awards that reflect its institutional commitment to academic excellence, pedagogical innovation and educational transformation:

• First Place – Category: Quality Academic Communities
• Second Place – Category: Innovation to the Pedagogical Model
• Third Place – Category: Educational Transformation with Responsible and Ethical Artificial Intelligence
• Third Place – Category: Social Linkage
• Third Place – Category: Educational Digital Transformation
• Third Place – Category: Access, Equity and Integration into Higher Education

These awards consolidate the Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador as a benchmark institution in higher education, standing out for promoting innovative academic models, strengthening research, promoting digital transformation and developing social impact initiatives that contribute to the welfare of communities.

The awards were received by the Dr. Cristina de AmayaRector of the Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador; the Dr. Nuvia Estrada de VelascoVice Rector for Research and Outreach; the Giovanni Hernández Vice-Rector for Educational Innovation; and the Mario Parrillas The company’s General Manager, who represented the institution during the awards ceremony, was also present at the ceremony.

Each of these achievements is the result of the joint efforts of teachers, researchers, students and administrative personnel who, from their different areas of action, contribute to the institutional strengthening and positioning of UEES as a university committed to educational quality, innovation and the integral formation of professionals with values.

Obtaining these awards reaffirms the mission of the Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador to continue promoting relevant and innovative higher education focused on the needs of society, responding to current challenges through academic proposals of excellence and continuous improvement processes.

With these results, UEES strengthens its leadership within the Salvadoran higher education system and reaffirms its commitment to continue transforming lives through quality education, based on innovation, research and the principles that distinguish its institutional identity.
