PRESENTATION OF THE DOCUMENTARY FILM TRÓPICO DE SANGRE IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE UEES CULTURAL THURSDAYS
On March 11, as part of the Cultural Thursdays, the biographical documentary Trópico de Sangre was presented as part of the activities organized by the Arts, Culture and Sports Unit, with the support of the Faculty of Legal Sciences and the Embassy of the Dominican Republic. This film is based on the story of the Mirabal sisters and their role in the process of independence of the Dominican Republic. The event was attended by the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic, Mr. Flavio de Jesús Rondón, who gave a historical review of the Mirabal sisters, and Mr. Yorki García, counselor of the Embassy of the Dominican Republic. The event was attended by coordinators, professors and students of the School of Legal Sciences. These activities strengthen the link between the UEES community and historical film productions, promoting learning and reflection on transcendental events.
