2ND UEES-2024 BOOK FESTIVAL
DISCUSSION “ADVANTAGES AND CHALLENGES OF OPEN ACCESS
IN THE SCIENTIFIC JOURNALS OF THE IES”.
On April 30, as part of the 2nd UEES Book Festival, a discussion was held on “Advantages and challenges of open access in HEI scientific journals”. This event was attended by Mtra. Jenny Lozano, Director of Publications and Dissemination of the UCA; Mtra. Aracely de Hernández, Library Director of the Universidad Tecnológica de El Salvador (UTEC) and LATINDEX representative in El Salvador; Dr. Heriberto Erquicia, Director of the Revista Académica en Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades of the Universidad Pedagógica; and Mtra. Norma Hernández, Director of Publications of UEES. In addition, there was a discussion organized by the Instituto Especializado en Profesionales de la Salud (IEPROES), in which three researchers presented their work on nursing, nutrition and education. The event was moderated by Dr. Amado Batista, EDIPRO Coordinator. At the end of the talks, the participants were presented with diplomas of recognition by Dr. Nuvia Estrada, Vice Rector of Research and Social Projection.
