UEES RECEIVES VISIT FROM REPRESENTATIVES OF PAHO/WHO TO STRENGTHEN OPPORTUNITIES FOR COOPERATION IN HEALTH AND RESEARCH – Cooperation

The Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador (UEES), received the visit of representatives of the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), in an institutional meeting held on June 4, 2026 in the Rectory Meeting Room.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Cristina Juárez de Amaya, Rector of UEESThe event was attended by university authorities, among them the Dr. Nadia Menjívar, Director General of Institutional Strategic Management; Mr. Walter Bolaños, Director of International Relations and Cooperation; the Dr. Nuvia Estrada, Vice-Rector for Research and Outreach; Dr. Carlos Mónchez, Dean of the School of Medicine; and Dr. Carlos Mónchez, Vice-Rector for Research and Outreach; and Dr. Carlos Mónchez, Dean of the School of Medicine. Dr. Yanci OrellanaDean of the Graduate School.
On behalf of PAHO/WHO, Dr. Marcelo Korc, PAHO/WHO representative in El Salvador, and Dr. Marcelo Korc, PAHO/WHO representative in El Salvador, participated, as did Dr. Marcelo Korc, PAHO/WHO representative in El Salvador. Dr. Gilma Ramosa national consultant on health systems and services.
During the meeting, UEES presented its academic offerings in the area of health, its main lines of research and the strategic axes that guide institutional development. A technical exchange was also held to identify concrete opportunities for collaboration and linkage with national health priorities.
