FACULTY OF ENGINEERING UEES INCORPORATES INDUSTRIAL ROBOTIC ARM FOR STUDENTS – Teaching

“The new technology (robotic arm), will strengthen students’ hands-on training and expand opportunities for engineering research and innovation.”
The Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador (UEES) continues to strengthen its academic and technological capabilities with the incorporation of a KUKA KR 6 R900-2 industrial robot, a high-precision equipment oriented to the practical training of students and the development of skills in robotics and industrial automation.
This new acquisition represents an important step forward for the training of future engineers by enabling learning experiences closer to real industry environments. Students will be able to develop skills in robotic programming, motion control, automated systems and applications linked to Industry 4.0.
The KUKA KR 6 R900-2 robot has a payload capacity of up to 6.7 kilograms, a reach of 901 millimeters and a repeatability of 0.02 millimeters, characteristics that make it an ideal tool for teaching activities, applied research and the development of technological prototypes.
With this type of resources, UEES reaffirms its commitment to educational innovation and the training of professionals capable of responding to the technological demands of modern industry, strengthening the link between academia and the productive sector.
