As part of the commemoration of International Women’s Day, the Embassy of Spain in El Salvador, on the initiative of its Distinguished Ambassador,^Ms. Sonia Álvarez Cibanal, promoted the second meeting of professional women, with the purpose of coordinating efforts between the different academic and research sectors of the country (universities, study and training centers, hospitals, etc.), to discuss possible initiatives to be developed jointly, and to incorporate other academic women.

The invited professionals shared ideas to develop and strengthen a network of collaboration and even association between women in the academic and research world in the country, generating opportunities for female students and professionals at the local, national and international levels, in order to contribute from this perspective to the goals of higher education. Our Rector, Dr. Cristina de Amaya, was invited to this important meeting.
