On Saturday, October 21, the University Chess Championship organized by ANADES was held. This edition was played at the Open Modular University with the participation of 21 students from 13 affiliated universities. The tournament was played under the Swiss system to 7 rounds, with a pace of play of 15 minutes finish, in the female category the student of Doctor of Dental Surgery Marjorie Herrera was ranked third overall and second best female; while our other representative and student of the Doctor of Medicine Brandon Velis was tied for fifth place overall and third in the men’s category.
