New perspective in the systematization of musical instruments

Abstract

The article presents a critical analysis about the model of classification of musical instruments to be used for accredited activities. The central theme of the analysis is placed on the target theoretical paradigm that supports the model. The main thesis argues that the existing ordinance suffers from leniency in fixing their criterion cataloger, under a radical disjunction that houses its “basic principle”. As a result of this diagnosis, it is proposed an alternative of systematization based on a new paradigm theoretical goal. Thus, the only
criterion cataloger that sticks to physical principles-acoustic and the emergence of musical instruments in the evolutionary journey of the human kind
