Social Projection in the health area is worked on three fronts: General medical health, oral health and mental health; incorporating a preventive and comprehensive approach in each of the interventions. The Social Projection Committee of the Faculty of Medicine executes the Comprehensive Health Promotion Program. The main actions are preventive in nature and are focused on the targeted territories, particularly at the Shalom Family Medical Center, located in the Municipality of Santiago Texacuangos, where the Schools of Medicine and Nutrition participate; On the other hand, a staff doctor supports the Monseñor Romero Clinic, located in the Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes, in the Municipality of Ciudad Delgado, in which medical consultation is provided for the surrounding populations of the Municipalities of Apopa. and Ciudad Delgado, the School of Nursing adds to this work with preventive actions. This Program also executes actions within the framework of the Transforma Cabañas Community Development Program, which is executed in association with the Auditorio Cristiano Church in communities in the Municipality of Victoria, in the Department of Cabañas.
