Message from the Rector
Dear Students,
The Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador has managed to build and develop an Educational Model that combines an education of academic excellence with scientific rigor, managing with seriousness and responsibility the study plans and programs, the teaching and learning process, and the assurance of the educational resources, according to the advances of science and the information and communication technologies (ICT); going back to the core of its mission: the holistic education of professionals who stand out for their competences, their practice of Christian values and their vocation of service to their fellow men. This holistic training is provided within the framework of the substantive functions of higher education: Teaching, Research, Social Service, and Scientific Dissemination.
Our 40-year trajectory positions us in an academic leadership, whose best evidence is the quality and transcendence of our graduates, who stand out for being nationally and internationally recognized professionals, highly competent, ethical in their actions, and with a vocation of service to their fellow men and women. The seal of institutional accreditation granted by the Higher Education Quality Accreditation Commission of El Salvador, affirms our institutional responsibility with the continuous improvement and relevance of our programs.
As an Institution, we promote lifelong learning (learning to know, to do, to be, and to live together), promoting in an ethical manner the progress of science and technological development, through research, innovation, and project development, to contribute to solving the social needs of the most vulnerable sectors, in association with businesses, industries and the public and private sectors; considering in our work the emerging trends in the professional field and in the scientific, technological and economic sectors, so that our students reach a performance level that is relevant to professional requirements.
Given the new social challenges that we face today on a national and global scale, along with the demands of the fourth industrial revolution, based on the transition to new systems that are built on the infrastructure of the digital era, we confirm our commitment to continue adapting to contemporary demands, to effectively serve Salvadoran society, giving primacy to an education that prioritizes academic quality, training in Christian values, the promotion of responsible citizenship with their neighbors and their environment, the development of art, culture and sports; promoting cooperation and internationalization, certification of teaching staff, international accreditation of careers, virtual education, digital transformation, among other mechanisms that reinforce our university work.
From the Institutional Mission, it is clear that the training our students receive must be based both on knowledge and on a Christian ethic based on the Holy Scriptures. It is not possible to do otherwise if we really want to contribute our educational work to build a culture of peace and a democratic society.
Our reason for being is our mission.
