When discussing topics such as stress and burnout syndrome, a series of elements and conditions related to these situations must be taken into account, especially when referring to a profession such as teaching at the university level; There is a series of research on this topic, such as an article carried out by the Pedagogical University of El Salvador entitled "Impact of psychosocial alterations on the higher education teaching population of El Salvador in 2012." Stress is a disease that is present in all professions, in some more than others, having a presence more in those professions in which there is contact with other people, such as teaching. Teachers are exposed to many factors that can increase their stress levels, from internal factors such as personality or external factors such as the work environment. By detecting the presence of high levels of stress in a teacher, one is on the verge of falling into burnout syndrome, since many authors maintain that chronic and sustained work stress can be the cause of this syndrome. The objective of this study was to detect the presence of stress and burnout syndrome in teachers at the Latin American Technical University.
