Tako-Tsubo syndrome was first described in 1990 by Sato et al. It is characterized by hypokinesia or transient apical akinesia of the left ventricle and normal coronary arteries by catheterization. A clinical case of a female patient hospitalized with suspected symptoms of coronary syndrome after an emotional trigger is presented, who meets the criteria proposed by the Mayo Clinic 2008 for the diagnosis of Tako-Tsubo Syndrome. The importance of identifying this syndrome lies in the fact that its presentation clinical simulates an acute myocardial infarction; however, its prognosis and morbidity and mortality are different.
