Abstract

In the present work, the reader will find an advance of research on the situation of the violence portrayed in crimes of homicide and murder that occurred in El Salvador in the years from 1931 to 1944, a period in which occupied the presidential chair general Maximiliano Hernández Martínez. In addition, you can watch how justice was administered in the House of third instance (called Criminal Division from 1954) when he was aware of this type of crime. Well, it is intended to present a first contribution of a discussion that could devise around the law as a mechanism of containment of the violence and the manifestations of this, in the everyday life of the Salvadoran society, as part of the concentric circles of the problem.
