WELCOME TO SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS
ANDPRESENTATION OF THE FOUNDATION MAESTRO CARES


On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, the scholarship students of the MAESTRO CARES FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM were welcomed. This program arises from the cooperation between the Maestro Cares Foundation, based in Chicago, IL, United States, and the Evangelical University of El Salvador, managed by the Directorate of International Relations and Cooperation, DIRCI, with the aim of promoting equal opportunities in higher education by enabling access, retention and graduation of students with high intellectual ability and limited financial resources. The scholarship program includes the exemption of payments for educational services for the duration of the study plan of the career selected by each of the beneficiaries and, as part of the requirements to apply for the scholarship, the student must comply with academic performance, perform community service during each semester and enroll and pass all the subjects established in the study plan in each academic cycle.


As part of the agenda of the virtual welcome meeting, the meeting was attended by Simon Nascimento, Scholarship Director and Mariana Morales, Scholarship Coordinator of the Maestro Cares Foundation; and on behalf of UEES, the Deans, Vice-Deans, Directors and Coordinators of the different careers in which the scholarship recipients have been enrolled for the Cycle 01- 2025. The purpose of the meeting was to welcome and congratulate the scholarship recipients, present the Maestro Cares Foundation, its history, mission, vision with respect to education and the community and objectives of the scholarship program and student support. On the other hand, share relevant aspects regarding the scholarship holder’s path, agreements, responsibilities and support from the Foundation. In addition, each UEES official shared the expectations and details of the chosen careers, modality, graduate profile, opportunities for professional practice, among others. Finally, each of the scholarship students had the opportunity to make a brief intervention, sharing their opinions regarding the scholarship obtained, their goals and aspirations as professionals and as agents of change in society. We extend a warm welcome to the students of the Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Business, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Bachelor’s Degree in English Translation and Interpretation, and Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition.
