VISIT TO THE GALILEO UNIVERSITY OF GUATEMALA
On October 28, Carlos Rodriguez, Coordinator of the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) together with Dr. Aydee Rivera de Parada, Director of Research, visited the Universidad Galileo of Guatemala with the purpose of strengthening working relations. In this context, the organizational structure of the Technology Transfer Office of Universidad Galileo was followed up and opportunities for joint cooperation were discussed. In the area of research, a proposal was made to carry out interdisciplinary collaborative projects in which researchers associated with the Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador (UEES) could participate, especially through calls for research projects. Particular emphasis was given to initiatives related to the development of technological devices that support health care. During the meeting, the following participated on behalf of Universidad Galileo: Jean Paul Suger, Vice Rector of Administration; Eng. Rodrigo Baeza, Dean of the School of Engineering; Dr. Alberto Marroquín, Director of the Telecommunications and Mechatronics Engineering program; and Ms. Waleska Arqueta, Coordinator of the Center for Support to the Transfer of Innovation (CATI); all of them members of the CATI office and professors of Universidad Galileo.
