VISIT OF PASTOR TOM RAINS FROM 1ST BAPTIST CHURCH OF ILLINOIS
On Friday, March 22, we had a visit from Pastor Tom Rains and his wife Cathy Rains, who have served as pastors of First Baptist Church in Quincy, Illinois, for over 27 years. Pastor Tom shared in our University Chapel the message “The Cost of Excellence”.
Brother Tom has a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Divinity degree and has been involved in evangelism for many years. Cathy has a degree in Early Childhood Education and recently retired. Together they serve the Lord and desire to see people come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
As part of the retinue, we were accompanied by Sr. Wanda Wilson, author of the book “A Woman Adorned with the Fruit of the Holy Spirit”, who interpreted a praise about the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
