UEES Mediation Center receives reaccreditation by the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico

On March 18, 2025, the Evangelical University of El Salvador (UEES) celebrated the official reaccreditation of its Mediation Center by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) in a ceremony held in the university’s Aula Magna. The event was attended by institutional authorities, representatives of the PGR, teachers and students.

During the ceremony, Reverend Mauricio Balmore Hernández Rodríguez, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, welcomed those present, highlighting the institution’s commitment to the culture of peace. The Rector, Dr. Cristina Gloribel Juárez de Amaya, highlighted the trajectory of the Mediation Center and its contribution to access to justice, while the Dean of the School of Legal Sciences, Msc. Marcos Alejandro Alberto Martínez Morales, presented a brief historical overview of the center, highlighting its achievements since its foundation in 2015.

During the ceremony, the Attorney General of the Republic, Mr. René Gustavo Escobar Álvarez, presented the diploma of reaccreditation to the UEES Mediation Center, recognizing its work in the promotion of peaceful conflict resolution. In appreciation of his support, the Rector presented a diploma of recognition to the Attorney General, strengthening the ties of collaboration between the two institutions.

Finally, the Attorney General offered closing remarks, reaffirming the crucial role of mediation in the construction of accessible and effective justice.

The reaccreditation of the UEES Mediation Center reflects the university’s commitment to quick, economical and dialogue-focused solutions, promoting social peace and harmonious coexistence in El Salvador. Currently, the PGR has accredited 451 mediators and 24 external centers in state institutions, universities and municipalities, consolidating its commitment to a more accessible and effective justice for the entire population.
