SECOND WORKSHOP ON EATING DISORDERS

On Monday, October 16, the University Chaplaincy Office and the School of Nutrition held the second day of the workshop on eating disorders, with the participation of 42 third year students from the School of Nutrition.
The purpose of this workshop was to train students in biblical principles and technical knowledge regarding the intervention that can be done from their area, for patients with these conditions, working with a multidisciplinary team.
The activity was developed with the support of Dr. Ariel Gonzalez, professor of Pharmacology in Nutrition, together with Mr. Rene Campos, Student Chaplain, and Mr. Miguel Palomo, Chaplain of the School of Medicine, who also through their profession in Psychology, know how to approach this subject. Miguel Palomo was awarded a diploma of recognition for teaching this workshop.
The University Chaplaincy Department promotes our institutional values in students through these activities, by preparing future professionals who in the exercise of the professions in which they are being trained, can be concerned about providing care with excellence and empathy, forming a better society.
