PARTICIPATION IN MEETING TO PRESENT THE PROJECT TO DISSEMINATE AND RAISE AWARENESS OF THE PROPOSED REFORM OF THE TEGUCIGALPA PROTOCOL

On Thursday, April 4/2024, Dra. Cristina de Amaya, Rector of the University, attended a meeting with Sr. Vice-President of the Republic, Dr. Félix Ulloa, who was accompanied by Mr. Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Eng. Mauricio Pineda, an activity in which 23 Rectors and Representatives of the country’s Universities participated, as well as Sr. SICA Legal Director, Mr. Manuel Lemus and the Integration team of the Vice Presidency.

The purpose was to present the process of dissemination and awareness of the proposed reform of the Tegucigalpa Protocol, to ensure that all sectors of the population are informed about the content of the proposal presented by the Salvadoran State during the LVI Meeting of the Central American Integration System – SICA.

Among the agreements, academic activities will be programmed in each university, with the participation of students and professors to learn about the proposal and provide opinions and recommendations. Students and faculty of the School of Legal Sciences will be participating in the UEES at the meeting scheduled for May 21, 2024, which will be coordinated by the CCJJ Dean’s Office.
