“PARTICIPATION AND SYMBOLIC ACT OF SIGNING OF THE
DECLARATION OF THE NATIONAL MEETING OF UNIVERSITIES
IN THE FIELD OF RISK MANAGEMENT OF
DISASTERS IN EL SALVADOR”.
The Evangelical University of El Salvador (UEES) had an outstanding participation on April 29 and 30 in the First National Meeting of Universities in the field of Disaster Risk Management in El Salvador. On April 29, UEES was actively involved in a series of trainings and workshops, with the presence of the three active members of the UEES Occupational Health and Safety Committee (CSSO) and four UEES brigadistas. At the closing ceremony, held on April 30, the symbolic signing of the declaration as Higher Education Institutions committed to disaster risk management in El Salvador took place. This moment was attended by Dr. Christian Aparicio, Director of Higher Education, Dr. Luis Ayala, Director of Civil Protection, Dr. Christofer Cushing, USAID El Salvador Mission Director, among other distinguished members. Highlighting UEES’s commitment to this important initiative, Dr. Nuvia Estrada, Vice Rector for Research and Social Projection, symbolically signed the declaration during the closing ceremony.
