MEETING OF THE EVANGELICAL ALLIANCE OF EL SALVADOR

On Thursday, February 29, the monthly meeting of the Evangelical Alliance of El Salvador was held with the forum “Pastoral crisis, the struggle not to leave the ministry”, having as panelists Pastor Javier Dominguez of Grace on Grace Church, Pastor Ismael Ticas of the Church of God of the Universal Prophecy and Pastor Rodolfo Mendez of the Bible Tabernacle Majucla, who addressed the problems that approximately 40% of pastors are going through because they want to leave the ministry.

Among the causes that were analyzed with respect to the problem, economic causes, lack of understanding of the call on the part of the pastor or a false expectation, lack of family support, among others, were mentioned.

The purpose of the Forum was to come up with some proposals to support pastors, among which it was suggested that there should be an integral support from the leadership of each denomination, to guide the new pastor regarding the implications of the pastoral call and to design strategies to support those who are going through various problems.

As Evangelical University of El Salvador, as part of the Evangelical Alliance, we are committed to support pastors who are in need and we are about to make proposals to provide support options from our role as an institution of higher education.
