On Wednesday, April 3, Dr. Christian Aparicio, National Director of Higher Education, was in charge of the call for applications for the Higher Education Best Practices Awards, organized by MINEDUCYT’s National Directorate of Higher Education. The event was held in a hybrid manner; in person at the School of Communication “Monica Herrera”, where the members of the Higher Education Council (CES) were present, and virtually participated Rectors, Vice Rectors and officials of the 41 IES of the country. As a member of the ESC, Dr. Cristina de Amaya, Representative of the sector of accredited HEIs; and on behalf of UEES participated virtually Ing. Sonia Rodríguez, General Secretary; and Ing. Omar Villanueva, Director of Educational Technology.

There are 10 categories of participation; proposals will be received until November 1, and the award ceremony will be held on December 2, 2024, as part of the World Futures Day, promoted for the first time by UNESCO. Students, teachers, researchers and administrative staff may consult the competition rules at each Dean’s Office.
