Abstract

The deficiency in reading comprehension presented by some of the students who enter the University, is one of the many problems faced by teachers of different careers. This problem has its origins in the traditional methods used to enseriar to read to students in their first school years, being a generally mechanical reading. Among these methods are syllabic, phonetic and alphabetic, which come from the letter to the syllable, from syllable to word and from word to phrase; Also so that the student can learn the sounds of each of the letters that make up the alphabet; They neglect the needs and interests of students who help motivate them to let reading into their lives. To achieve this, a series of aspects intervene that will lead a posteriori to an understanding of reading analysis and synthesis. There are three stages of learning for reading: global perception of the phrase, global perception of the word and the analysis and synthesis of the word. These stages lead the student to fix the great difficulties of reading. To achieve this, the teacher must use the reading methods required by the new schools and among them are the global method, from which other methods emerge such as the endogenesis (Learning to think by reading well, Argudin 2001).
