According to the Pan American Network for Problem-Based Learning (PAN-PBL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is a dynamic teaching method that has been spreading throughout the world, both in higher education institutions and in primary and secondary school education. This model adapts research "per se" as an essential tool; Students build their own knowledge by searching for information for the study of problems or needs and their possible solutions creating a challenge for them. PBL is one of the best ways to integrate research and teaching in social areas, so that it promotes the training of integral professionals to function in life.
