Frequency of Dental Alterations of Size, Number, Shape and Aesthetics in Patients with Special Ability

Abstract

This article presents the frequency of dental alterations of size, number; form and esthetics in special patients (patients with mental retardation Down syndrome and cerebral palsy) of the "Padre Vito Guarato" Abandoned Disabled Kidney Home. We worked with a population of 200 patients (4,688 teeth). The results show that of the total number of pieces evaluated (4,688); 2.5% (117) presented alterations in size, 0.79% (37) presented alterations in number, 3.14% (147) presented alterations in shape, 6.44% (302) presented aesthetic alterations and 87.74% (4085) did not present dental alterations
