Abstract

The Universities of El Salvador are frequently filled with younger students than in the previous decade, their income ranges between 15 and 17 years; many of these youngsters face serious difficulties in their new role, -higher education students-, because they need to be frequent readers. Place where his apathy and rejection of the habit of reading is evidenced; which must be inherent in every university career, since only in this way do we know, learn, create and train ourselves as integral professionals. What happens with this lack of love towards reading? Is it a personal problem of the student? What actions are being taken in this regard according to those responsible for Education, be it public or private? we demand coda die professionals with greater skills and ability to analyze to solve problems; Why is it urgent that our young and not so young children become good readers?
