Abstract

In the present investigation, the stability and dimensional accuracy of three silicone condensation-type impression materials Speedex, Coltoflax and Protesil were compared in three sizes (two diameters and one length) with respect to a metallic model. Thirty impressions were taken from the metal model, 10 for each silicone commercial brand, then they were cast with extra hard plaster and the measurements were taken with a micrometer in 3 dimensions (MD, CO, VL). From the results obtained, it is concluded that the three silicones have different dimensional accuracy.
