In a rapidly changing world, where human knowledge is recycled at ever faster speeds, accurate and technically oriented information evaluation and scrutiny criteria are required. Going into the 21st century, this need becomes more evident, since we cannot start from the fact that all new knowledge is superior and without fail, since only the passage of time and the scientific scrutiny of the new proposals are what verify the validity of each of the proposed theories. Probably based on these arguments, today there is more and more emphasis on actions based on evidence, since actions must be based on verifiable and verifiable facts. Research is a scientific process that can allow us to generate that much-needed evidence to change reality and as a Higher Education Institution we need to plan, promote and develop it.
