Abstract

The dissemination of science is essential in strengthening Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Research is the raw material for this purpose, research projects with clear purposes to help solve, propose and discover scientifically supported forms and methods to improve the quality of life of societies. A State that bets on investing in education, research and technology makes this trilogy a springboard for the development of its country. According to Mr. Qian Tang, Deputy Director General of UNESCO for the Education sector, he said at the 8th International Congress of Higher Education, University 2012, held in the Cuban capital, on February 16, in his conference "Education Superior and Sustainable Development”, that it would not be possible to achieve sustainable development only with the implementation of solutions
technological, regulatory frameworks and financial instruments, but also through more and better education; Likewise, he referred to the strategic role played by university institutions in the training of professionals "qualified in various
areas of critical importance for socio-cultural, economic and environmental development (including teachers at all levels of education), in the promotion of high-quality multidisciplinary research, which contributes to the search for solutions to the complex current challenges and in promoting responsible citizenship.
