Abstract

Bibliotherapy is more than reading a book. Therefore, this article describes each of the stages to implement this technique, which is part of the tools of the cognitive behavioral approach. A case is presented where the bibliotherapy technique is used by a patient who attended the Mental and Family Health clinic. The bibliotherapy technique allowed the patient to identify her thoughts and feelings, allowing her to establish action plans that helped her in her therapeutic process with a cognitive behavioral approach. The essence of the bibliotherapeutic process is based on the answers to the questions: What do I think? What do I feel? What will I do? How will I do it? When will I?
