On November 6, 2023, the Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador participated in the virtual modality of the XLIII General Assembly of the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (OUI – IOHER), developed in hybrid mode in Nevada, United States, with the participation of representatives from universities in the regions of Brazil, the Caribbean, Colombia, Mexico and the Andean countries.

The General Assembly began with a welcome address by Dr. Oscar Garrido, Rector of the Universidad de Los Lagos, Chile, President of the IOHE, who introduced the new Board of Directors for the 2023 – 2025 period. The incorporation of new members of IOHE 2023, including UEES, was also approved. In addition, reports were given by the outgoing President, the Executive Secretary General and the Treasurer. It was reported that the CAEI – 2025 will be held in Costa Rica, and the next OUI 2024 assembly will be held in Colombia.

UEES was represented by: Dra. Mirna García, Academic Vice Chancellor; Dra. Nadia Menjívar, Dean of the Graduate School; and Lic. Ernesto Rodriguez of the Directorate of International Relations and Cooperation.
