UNIVERSIDAD EVANGÉLICA DE EL SALVADOR
UNIRHEMOS AND FEU DELEGATION VISIT


The Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador was honored to receive a delegation from the Universidad Eugenio María de Hostos (UNIRHEMOS) and the Fundación Evangélica Universitaria (FEU) of the Dominican Republic, with the objective of strengthening academic and professional ties between all entities.
Highlights of the visit:
- Meeting with the Directorate of University Chaplaincy:
The delegation held an enriching dialogue with the Directorate of University Chaplaincy, where they shared experiences and strategies to promote spiritual wellbeing in the academic environment. This meeting reaffirmed the importance of integrating ethical and humanistic values in the formation of future professionals. - Meeting with faculty from the Anatomy Department of the School of Medicine:
During the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to exchange knowledge with faculty from the Anatomy Department of the School of Medicine. Discussions revolved around innovative teaching methodologies, teaching resources and opportunities for collaboration in the medical field. - Tour of the main facilities of the university campus: During the visit, the delegation was received at the Central Library and the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry and Engineering. This approach allowed them to share experiences, learn about the academic and technological capabilities of UEES, and explore possible areas of future cooperation, such as student and faculty exchanges, joint research and shared academic programs.
- Tour of Zacamil Hospital:
Accompanied by Dr. Yancy Orellana, Vice-Dean of Medical Specialties, the visitors toured Zacamil Hospital, one of the university’s teaching hospitals. This experience allowed the delegation to learn first-hand about the practical approach and excellence in clinical training that characterizes the Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador.
The exchange of ideas and the observation of academic and medical practices during the visit have reaffirmed the mutual interest in establishing stronger ties in key areas such as education, research and outreach.
