Participation of Dr. Mirna García in panel of rectors and vice rectors – Iberoamerican Congress on Higher Education
The third day of the Ibero-American Congress of Higher Education “The Education of the Future” took place on March 27 at the Barceló Hotel in San Salvador. One of the key activities of the Congress was the panel of Rectors and Vice Rectors of different HEIs belonging to AUPRIDES (Association of Private Universities of El Salvador), where they discussed the current context of Higher Education Institutions in El Salvador, raising proposals and challenges for an agile and flexible education. On behalf of UEES, Dr. Mirna García, Academic Vice Rector, participated in the Forum, providing input based on her experience and expertise in the area of educational quality.
Some of the reflections of the speakers revolved around the obsolescence of the curricula, academic credits, flexible and adaptable quality models that encourage creativity and innovation of HEIs, the importance of internationalization, the rise of micro-credentials, teacher training and pedagogical practices that allow students to be the center of academic and institutional processes.
