Organ transplant: where are we going?

Abstract

Talking about donation and transplantation of cells, tissues and organs in the current era is extremely relevant, especially with the changes in the current donation law in El Salvador. In order to adequately understand this topic, certain basic concepts must be defined. The concepts are the following: Donation: it is the act of surgically removing an organ that a person voluntarily gives up to save or improve the quality of life of one or more people. Transplant: it is the act of transferring an organ, tissue or set of cells from one person (donor) to another (recipient).
