Abstract

When we talk about cancer, any person in the clinic expresses fear of death, when in reality it is a disease that, when discovered in its initial stage, is curable. It is surprising to see that there is a good amount of the population that is surprised to learn that cancer can appear in the mouth. There is a principle that should be known and practiced by all: "Any ulcerated, red, white or nodular lesion found in the oral cavity, which with or without treatment does not disappear after 15 days, should be considered cancer until check otherwise”, we can add to the above that if the lesion bleeds with or without stimulation, grows rapidly or changes color, suspicion should be greater. This seems to be very radical; but if we are talking about curing cancer in its initial or early stages this must be fulfilled.
