Comprehensive sex education as a contribution to the prevention of violence

Abstract

This article proposes a scientific reflection on the knowledge that teachers have about sex education in educational settings. Thus, we also find the connection between sexual education and violence as prevention factors. The study consists of a documentary review and a preliminary study with 26 professors from 14 Salvadoran universities. In the preliminary study, it was found that teachers have little knowledge of 'comprehensive sexual education' as a basis for individual and collective development: according to the documentary study, the importance of reproductive health is more recognized to prevent unintended pregnancies and diseases, especially among adolescents and adolescents. youths.
