Abstract
Our theme is divided into two parts: understanding and confronting reality. In both cases, this is said to entail pastoral challenges. Why should it be a challenge to understand reality? Why should it also be a challenge to confront reality? Let's look for the answers by going one by one through these two divisions of our topic.
