This study starts from the hypothesis that environmental conflicts are primarily political conflicts of unequal distribution of power, particularly between the sexes. In this context, there are three objectives that have directed the research presented. The first is to know the main environmental and water management problems and conflicts between men and women in the area under consideration. The second is to analyze the impact of environmental conflict on women in the Trifinio Region. The third objective is to generate information that contributes to the incorporation of the gender approach in the management and handling of environmental resources. The methodology involved documentary review and field work with focus groups, as well as in-depth interviews and quantitative surveys.
