Informational Competence in university students: A look at their beliefs and adhesions

The purpose of this study was to characterize informational competence (IC) in first-semester university students in Colombia, based on practices they establish with information sources. Methodologically, a qualitative descriptive observational study was carried out, for which an instrument with two components was built: collection
data and registration. The results allowed us to identify three IQ profiles: collector, verifier and reflective, which were analyzed from the adhesions in relation to the beliefs in the potentiated mode and for the context of secondary education.
