Continuous publishing

Starting with Vol. 1, No. 1 (2013), the journal *Ciencia, Cultura y Sociedad* has maintained its traditional quarterly publication model while adopting a rolling publication model, under which articles continue to be assigned to a specific volume and issue but are published on an ongoing basis once they have been approved and edited.

The adoption of this model is driven by the rise of the Open Science paradigm, one of whose key pillars encompasses scientific publications and the need, both for authors and the scientific community, to reduce the time required to publish and access scientific knowledge.
