This paper is a sociocultural approach that analyzes the influence of postmodernism on Christianity today. The work is concerned with describing the fall of the project of modernity, the conditions that made possible the emergence of postmodernity, its main values and how these have shaped the current reality. Mainly, an individualistic vision of life and a detachment from social commitment, elements that have an effect on the Christianity, because in the face of the variety of projects of human self-realization, a polytheism of values ends up being configured that as a consequence leads people to distance themselves from the Christian faith or in community, reducing the Christian life to a search for individualistic satisfaction, subjective and far from its transforming mission.
