Abstract

On October 9, 2003, the Legislative Assembly declared November 23 as "National Day of Prayer for El Salvador." This is how the Evangelical Church of El Salvador has the opportunity to promote intercession for our beloved country at the national level. And, therefore, we constantly intercede in accordance with 1 Thessalonians 5:17: "Pray without ceasing", but that within the framework of the celebration of that day the need to cry out to the Lord for this great nation is promoted. Thus, as president of the Evangelical Alliance of El Salvador and Pastor of the Miramonte Baptist Church, I am allowed to recall the dedicatory prayer that Solomon raised on the occasion of the completion of the Temple in Jerusalem and make it the yearning for our country. From your prayer, the Spirit of God, allows us to retake principles of great importance to optimize this spiritual weapon that the People of the Lord have to transform the reality that nations reach when they move away from the Creator. Prayer is not a passive or evasive response, it is the deeply spiritual response that makes the impossible possible, it is the means provided by the divinity so that the finite man can approach the infinite God.
