UEES graduate is the first instructor certified in Level 3 <\/strong><\/h2>\n

at the International Society of Kineanthropometry ISAK<\/strong><\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_single_image image=”33239″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” css_animation=”fadeInDown”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]Dr. Mayra de C\u00e1ceres, a medical doctor graduated from UEES with a specialty in internal medicine and Postgraduate and Master in Nutrition in Physical Activity and Sport, certified as a Nutritional Coach in Spain and as a Sports Nutritionist by the International Society of Sports Medicine ISSN becomes the first professional at national level to obtain the certification as an instructor Level 3 ISAK.<\/p>\n

ISAK is the International Society for the Advancement of Kineanthropometry whose purpose is to create and maintain an international network of multidisciplinary professionals representing the worldwide community in order to establish a dynamic area of scientific work in the field of kinanthropometry, which is the area of science concerned with measuring the composition of the human body, which benefits health by measuring, monitoring and improving changes in lifestyle, nutrition, physical activity levels and body composition by intervening to bring about changes in body dimensions.<\/p>\n

The study of this discipline allows the professional to apply knowledge of anatomy and movement and measuring the human body to determine the capacity for function and movement in a wide range of areas. The process established by ISAK to specialize in this field begins with certification levels 1, 2, 3 and 4, each of which entails a series of requirements for theoretical and practical training, specialized studies, research, publication, teaching participation, among others.<\/p>\n

The Level 3 certification obtained by our graduate, Dra. Mayra de C\u00e1ceres in January 2023 was the result of years of specialized academic training, clinical experience, research studies and approval by international ISAK instructors; Once certified as an instructor, she is qualified to teach certifications under ISAK standards, a process with which UEES joins its efforts to offer for the first time at the university level the certification where it was decided through the Graduate School to invite as Visiting Professor from abroad, Master Christian Pureco, Bachelor in Nutrition from the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac (UNIVA), Master in Sports Nutrition by the Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid Universidad Europea, LINCA Certificate in Nutrition for the treatment of autism spectrum and ADHD, Certification in Physiology, Training and Sports Nutrition Level 1, Semipresencial, by the International Institute of Nutrition and Sports Sciences (IINSS-IINCD) who along with Dra. Mayra de C\u00e1ceres offered the theoretical-practical workshop from November 9 to 12, which was attended by students and graduates of multidisciplinary health careers, with a total of 15 participants.<\/p>\n

UEES will promote this initiative during 2024 with the purpose of expanding the alternatives of specialization for its graduates, opening development opportunities in the clinical, sports, teaching, research and other areas, initiating the accreditation in Level 1, which consists of 24 hours and a clinical phase with 20 patients that must be completed satisfactorily in a maximum period of 4 months, a process that after being sent to ISAK by the local instructor, is certified through the official ISAK website.<\/p>\n
