SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING<\/h1>\n

In the area of Technology, the Faculty of Engineering coordinates the Social Projection by executing the \"Programa Ni\u00f1os Talentos en TIC\" which is aimed at outstanding students from different public schools in the Metropolitan area of San Salvador. The central objective of this program is to develop skills in the use of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), in girls and boys between 7 and 12 years of age, from a comprehensive approach at the family level and with an education focus. in oral and nutritional health, thereby reinforcing complementary aspects for good performance. What is also sought with this program is to reduce the digital divide in students with high academic performance and that this allows them to enhance their learning abilities, but also their creative ones. An aspect to highlight within this program is that the Faculty of Dentistry and Medicine is added, with educational and promotional actions in oral and nutritional health. This program also executes actions within the framework of the Transforma Caba\u00f1as Community Development Program, which is executed in association with the Auditorio Cristiano Church in communities in the Municipality of Victoria, in the Department of Caba\u00f1as.<\/p>\n

Another important project in the Technological area is \u201cBilingualism for students with hearing disabilities\u201d, which aims to develop the acquisition and application (reading-writing) of Spanish in students with hearing disabilities in the second cycle of education. basic, through bilingualism and with a focus on the use of Information and Communication Technology. This project offers students with hearing disabilities a communicative environment that favors the acquisition of the second language (Spanish) to reduce communication barriers, as well as awaken the student's interest in Technologies by providing them with knowledge about Hardware and Software. The development of these capabilities improves academic performance made possible by better communication through the use of technologies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>
